Forging technology

What you can expect from us

High level of value-added based around state-of-the-art forging lines
Special steels, e.g. high-alloy, corrosion-resistant, heat-resistant and anti-magnetic steels, are available on request.

Heat treatment – A process-based heat treatment stage delivers the final product characteristics. A state-of-the-art, fully-automated heat treatment plant ensures that the end-products meet the highest mechanical specifications.

Square billets (edge length 50 to 120 mm) or round stock (18,5 to 200 mm in diameter) can be used as feedstock material.

Our product range:

  • wide selection of material
  • forging machines (16 - 160 kJ)
  • forging press (bis 1600 t)
  • component weight from 100 g to 100 kg
  • lengths up to 1.350 mm (depending on the component)
  • chain steels (DIN 17115)
  • non-alloy heat-treatable steels (DIN EN ISO 683-1)
  • alloy heat-treatable steels (DIN EN ISO 683-2)
  • case-hardened steels (DIN EN ISO 683-3)
  • non-alloy structural steels (DIN EN ISO 10025-2)

Testing technology

Quality assurance in our own laboratory

It is our aim to continuously improve our processes and give our customers a competitive edge with innovative products. To ensure this, every product is subjected to our extensive quality control process and tested in accordance with the stipulations of our QM system.

The conscientious application of our QM system and particularly the quality control measures that each product undergoes ensure that we fulfil all of our contractual, legal and other requirements. This comprehensive understanding of quality includes the involvement of every employee.

Our testing techniques

  • tensile tests according to DIN EN ISO 6892-2
  • notch impact tests (up to -40°C)
  • non-destructive tests MT, PT, VT, roughness measurement
  • coordinated measuring technology for shape and profile measurement
  • metalography, materialography, identification of structure
  • weld analysis micro - and macro etching
  • high temperature resistance tests (temperature range up to 900°C)
  • coating thickness measurement
  • hardness testings

FEM simulation

We use precise calculations backed up by the experience of our engineering team to carry out stress analyses before production begins. This makes for a product development process that is both highly efficient and optimised to the maximum.

Material flow simulation

3D simulations optimise the forging process, enable precise volume calculations, increase efficiency and have a positive impact on product quality.
